About Eden’s Hope

Eden’s Hope is an organization that serves children, women and children in unplanned pregnancies, and those who are at risk of becoming street kids to ensure they have a safe place to learn, grow, and be discipled. This is achieved through school ministry, a kid’s program, bible studies, and a crisis pregnancy center.

Meet the Team

Haley Reed, Founder

Little Girl Born for the Nations

Haley was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia with her parents and two brothers. She was first introduced to international missions when her dad brought her back an outfit from Kenya in 1999. This brought excitement and curiosity to a young 5-year-old girl. Little did she know, God would continue to water that seed that was planted 13 years prior and bring it to fruit in July of 2013 when she embarked on her first mission trip to Calcutta, India.

Where it All Began

After traveling all over the world, Haley found herself leading her first team from Eden Church to Kenya, Africa in 2017. Haley has since been back 14 times experiencing the vulnerable and lost each time. In these moments, she could feel the compassion of Jesus prompting her to do something. It wasn’t until March of 2023 while walking the streets in Kenya, that God gave Haley a clear direction on what He was calling her to do. Looking back at all of the trips, experiences, jobs, and details, she could see God’s hand in every step and His heart for His people. She was to leave her home, family, and friends to provide the Hope of the Gospel to the lost and vulnerable.

Betro Muhonja

Betro Kambrose was born and raised in the slums of Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya. She was raised by her mom who is a  single parent and has one older sister. Being brought up in Kibera wasn’t that easy, life in the slums exposes kids into a lot of danger and peer pressure. Being raised in Kibera, she chose to be a difference in her community. She showed the other kids that being raised there does not mean the end of the world or their life has to end there. In the midst of that kind of set up, she studied and went to University to study Human Resource Management. After graduating, her main strength was championing for gender equality and quality education for both boys and girls. She has worked with a couple of organizations in Kibera and the impact was great. Betro can confidently say that it has been a great encounter in the slums and she can’t wait to see what God has in store for the years to come.

Nick Sadia

Nick is a born again believer and a bondservant of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faith hasn't always been a smooth path for him. Like many, he has stumbled, questioned, and wrestled with doubt. But through it all, God's unwavering love has been the anchor that held him fast. Each challenge became a stepping stone, leading him deeper into His embrace and revealing the transformative power of His Word. As a result, Nick has been in active ministry from the early 2010s. He has continued ministering to and with various groups, especially the youth and teenagers, sharing the hope and solace he has found in Christ. Thus you’ll mostly find him in bible studies, prayer meetings, and community outreach. He believes genuine connection through love, sharing honest struggles, celebrating victories big and small, are the perfect avenues to relay the Gospel and the testimony of the Lord.

    Facilities & Maintenance Manager

Felix Akhonya was born in 2000 in the slums of Kibera. His early childhood was marked by instability, as his parents faced personal challenges that made it difficult for them to care for him.
